Charity and support fund (Fund) – it is a public legal entity with limited civil liability, the main objectives of which are the provision of charity and/or support and other assistance to natural and legal persons in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania to science, culture, education, art, religion, sports, health care, social care and welfare, environmental protection and other areas recognized as beneficial and unselfish to society.

The founders (shareholders) of the Fund may be natural and legal persons. The founders, having concluded the Agreement on the Establishment of the Fund, undertake to make monetary and/or property contributions to the Fund prior to the registration of the Fund in the Register of Legal Entities. All the founders of the Fund become its shareholders upon registration in the Register of Legal Entities.

The Fund is prohibited from paying benefits to the founder or member of the Fund, distributing the Fund’s assets and funds, including profits, to the Fund’s shareholders and members of the management bodies, except in the case of remuneration and other cases prescribed by law.

Term: The fund is established within 3-5 working days.

Please note that when establishing  the Fund online:

• Establishment online is performed by connecting to the self-service system of the State Enterprise Center of Registers. The founder (s) and the owner (s) of the premises must have an electronic certified signature;
• The Articles of Association of the Fund will be exemplary, it will not be possible to set restrictions on the activities of the Board or the Manager for certain transactions and other additional provisions.

Procedure for establishing the Fund online:

• the name of the Fund is reserved;
• The founding documents of the Fund are filled in in the self-service system of the State Enterprise Center of Registers;
• The self-service system of the State Enterprise Center of Registers obtains the consent of the owner of the premises to provide premises to the Fund’s registered office. For an additional fee of € 60, we provide a legal entity registration address for an unlimited period of time;
• An application for registration of the Fund is submitted in the self-service system of the State Enterprise Center of Registers;
• the Fund’s stamp is ordered and produced (at the client’s request);
• An application for granting the status of a beneficiary (to the client
  on request).

Advantages of establishing a fund in a notary’s office:

• the founder (s) and the owner (s) of the premises are not required to have an electronic certified signature;
• The Articles of Association of the Fund may set restrictions on the activities of the Board or the Manager for certain transactions and other additional provisions.

Procedure for establishing the Fund in a notary’s office:

• the name of the Fund is reserved;
• the founding documents of the Fund are prepared;
• the consent of the owner of the premises to provide premises for the Fund’s registered office is obtained. For an additional fee of € 60, we provide a legal entity registration address for an unlimited period of time;
• the notary certifies the founding documents of the Fund;
• The Fund is registered in the State Enterprise Center of Registers;
• the Fund’s stamp is ordered and produced (at the client’s request);
• An application for granting the status of a beneficiary (to the client
  on request).
