A temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania –  is a document that grants a foreigner the right to temporarily reside in the Republic of Lithuania for the period specified therein. A foreigner has the right to choose a place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania, to change it, to leave the Republic of Lithuania and to return to it during the period of validity of the temporary residence permit. A temporary residence permit is issued to a foreigner who is not a citizen of a Member State of the European Union. It is usually issued for one or two years and is subject to change after the deadline.

Permanent residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania – is a document granting a foreigner the right to reside in the Republic of Lithuania and confirming the status of a foreigner as a permanent resident. A permanent residence permit is issued for 5 years.

A work permit in the Republic of Lithuania -is a document due to which foreigners acquire the right to work in Lithuania during the period specified in the permit (it must be obtained before entering the Republic of Lithuania). A work permit for a foreigner is issued for a period of up to 2 years. It specifies the position, company, institution or organisation in which the foreigner will work. A work permit for a foreigner may be issued if there is no specialist in Lithuania who meets the qualification requirements set by the employer. A foreigner intending to work in a job requiring high professional qualification is issued a decision that the foreigner’s job meets the needs of the labour market of the Republic of Lithuania.

• a highly qualified employee ((the EU blue card) – is a permit to legally live and work in Lithuania and move to another EU Member State to work in a highly qualified job);
• permission to work as an intern or trainee;
• Permanent employee of an EU company;

• employment under an employment contract when the profession is not included in the list of missing professions;

• a student who has graduated from studies in Lithuania and intends to work;

• employment under an employment contract when the profession is included in the list of missing professions;

• the person is transferred within the company as an executive;
• the person is transferred within the company as a specialist;
• the person is transferred within the company as an employee – trainee;
• a valid temporary residence permit issued by another EU Member State as an intra-corporate transfer and arriving at the host company.

LEGAL ACTIVITIES

• A participant and an executive or shareholder of a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania;
• The executive of a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania and intends to work in this company;
• A participant of a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania who has invested at least 260,000 EUR in the company’s equity (assets) and an executive or shareholder;
• The executive of a company registered in the Republic of Lithuania, the equity value of which amounts to at least EUR 500,000 and intends to work in this company;
• Business start-up – a legal activity related to the implementation of new technologies or innovations significant for the economic and social development of the Republic of Lithuania;
• Intended to engage in religious activities

• consultations and assistance in obtaining the full set of documents – a temporary residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania, a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania, a European Union citizen’s certificate;
• consultations and assistance on issuing a national visa (D), preparation of necessary documents;
• Completion of mediation letters regarding the issuance/change of national, Schengen visas, temporary residence permits in the Republic of Lithuania. Provision of public services related to the issuance and consultation of personal and other documents to the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania and foreigners on the information system (EPIS) service portal;
